STOP PRESS:
Close to 400 workers came to a stop-work meeting at South Grafton Ex Services Club on 1 July to protest at the Howard Government's proposed industrial relations laws. The meeting was part of a state-wide action organised by Unions NSW (formerly NSW Labour Council). A resolution was passed authorising Unions NSW to take industrial action when needed. Unfortunately, Unions NSW believes Australian workers don't trust unions. So they are taking a very soft approach. Prove them wrong. Please urge people to get informed about the new laws - they'll affect all of us. A day of action is planned for 7 August.
