State of the Library Report

I have recently returned to the Clarence and started volunteering here. I perused the library. It hums with vital information and glimmers with treasure.

My first impression was a wealth of campaign resources including government publications and reports and general references. It also holds an array of publications and newsletters from everyone I can think of.

Then there are books. "Pumpkins, poisons and people" talks about avoiding pesticides in home gardens.

There is a fat book called
"Extinct and Endangered Plants of Australia"
...
under Flora.

The Gardening shelf includes "Forest Farming", one of several forward-thinking books about farming crop-bearing trees in forested areas to avoid the tragedy of mono-cultural annual crops. To add some shininess, a new book about the Maleny Folk Festival has arrived with colour pictures.

All this and more is available for your enlightened eyes to consume. In addition, as a financial member of the centre, you have the opportunity to borrow the books.

Lastly, if you have a book you would like to share with a receptive audience, I can see a space on the shelf where it might fit.
